Bоенный Парад Победы-Victory Day Parade

MOSCOW, May 9 (Itar-Tass) - A military parade in honour of the 63rd anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War began in Moscow at ten in the morning with the solemn show of the Banner of Victory.

...Medvedev addressed compatriots amid fanfare strains.

“Our army and fleet are growing stronger, as Russia itself,” he said.

He called for seriously treating the attempts at a revision of borders and neglect of the international law.

“The Victory festivity has become the most sacred, it has become forever a symbol of our national unity,” Medvedev said.

The history of world wars shows that “armed conflicts do not originate on their own. They are instigated by those whose ambitions have an upper hand of the interests of countries and continents, over the interests of millions of people,” Medvedev said.

“Millions of citizens of not only of our country, but also of the CIS and the far abroad celebrate the Victory Day”.

You cannot ignore the norms of the international law, without which a safe life and a just world order are impossible,” he said.
